Betts Emergency Valve 6" X 6", Flanged, 90 Degrees, External Air Operated
The Betts 6” Emergency Valve is built to meet HM183 requirements as an internal self-closing stop valve. The aluminum body incorporates a shear section compliant with 49CFR178.345-8 and tested according to TTMA RP 84. For added durability, the body, disc holder, and bonnet assembly feature a black epoxy coating for corrosion protection.
The EV47062AYBN configuration has a flanged 90° outlet, Nitrile seal material, and an external air cylinder with a 1/8” NPT port for air connection. A fusible plug is installed to release air pressure if temperatures exceed 212°F.
The Maximum Operating Pressure is defined as the highest tank pressure the valve can open against with 90 PSIG tank air pressure.
